College Connection is a private financial aid service. The Financial Aid Database they use is one of the largest and up-to-date databases consisting of private sector awards provided by corporations, non-profit agencies and associations that offer scholarships and grants. The Generations Gold ® Student Grant and Scholarship Program through College Connection has thousands of scholarships in its database, totaling millions of dollars.  Scholarships are available for undergraduate, graduate and international students attending a college or vocational/technical school.

FEATURES:

• Student Grant Report provides a total strategy that enables students to improve their chances of qualifying for State and Federal student aid.
• Members pay $29.95, a one-time fee (compared to $39.95 for non-members).
• Members receive a detailed listing of grants and scholarships that the student is eligible for.
• Application deadlines vary.  If a deadline has passed, save the printout and apply before the next deadline. Students can reapply to most of these awards each year.  It is possible to receive an award for each year the student will be attending school.
• To make the process easier the applicant also receives a letter pre-addressed to each scholarship/grant requesting the required application to apply.
• Members are guaranteed $200.00 minimum financial assistance or a $200 U.S. Savings Bond.
• Member must apply for all potential grants, etc., themselves.

PROCEDURES:

• Families of all incomes are eligible for financial aid.
• Members call Generations Gold ® at 1-800-428-6686 and they will send a “Student Scholarship & Financial Aid Planning Questionnaire” which should be completed according to enclosed instructions and returned to Generations Gold ®.
• It is up to the student to keep proof of denial letters to receive the $200 Savings Bond.
